Farcry 2 ‘Jackal” Teaser and Music Video

Farcry is still looking sweet in this new video. The graphics are stunning and the environment just cryes to be all blowed up. If they can pull this off on the consoles I will be amazed and very very pleased.  Coming to the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 from Ubisoft.
The music they used is a [...]

‘Pipe Dream’ From the Animusic 1 DVD

What a great little clip from Animusic. Animusic is an American company specializing in the 3D visualization of MIDI-based music. Unlike many other music animations, the music drives the animation. Other animations animate figures or characters to the music, while the animations here are created first, then will follow and play what the music tells [...]

bEnt Pikachu

Circuit bender, Kaseo has put together a wonderfully twisted collection of mutant Pokemon hybrids.  He also has a bunch of project galleries over at his homepage bEnt or diE.
I am both frightened and fascinated by these creepy little things. I must fight the urge to own one as I’m certain it would eventually murder me in my sleep.

LittleBigPlanet ‘Dream’ Trailer Music?

For those that wanted to know, the music in the latest LittleBigPlanet trailer is “My Patch” by Jim Noir. What a great little catchy track. I wish more companies took the time, care, and effort to develop the soundtrack side of their games.

Reminder: Dr Horrible’s Act I, II, And III are now live

Joss Whedon’s experimental web show, Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog is now up and running. It’s cheese to the extreme but still pretty entertaining fodder to wile away the work day. The launch of Act II appeared online at midnight Eastern Time, with a MUCH smoother transition than the first episode, available to international viewers immediately.

Sunday Morning Mashup: World Without Humans

Because there is absolutely nothing else going on this weekend, enjoy some mindless mashup action.
It is amazing how quickly nature reclaims all of our futile efforts to hold her off. Anyhow, meh…it’s late/early and I can’t sleep. More dystopian malaise after the jump.

Raymond Scott: On To Something

He is one of the most well known unknown composer/inventors in history. Every one of you knows his music. His influence on today’s musicians is as profound as his influence on modern recording techniques and electronica. Check out the website for more info on this facinating documentary.

Blue Tones: 4-Day Weekend

Flashback to the 90’s! The Bluetones were a great English indie band But their success tapered off  with the fall of the Britpop movement. Still…it’s cool music with killer anime by Koji Morimoto.

This is exactly what the city needs. Earlier venues and more parking would be a great start.
